  • Borders: Guatemala, Honduras, and the pacific ocean

  • Land Divisions: Called departments (Departamentos) - Ahuachapan, Cabanas, Chalatenango, Cuscatlan, La Libertad, La Paz, La Union, Morazan, San Miguel, San Salvador, San Vicente, Santa Ana, Sonsonate, and Usulutan.
